Welcome Spring with a 7 Day Challenge!

Spring officially starts today! To celebrate that new beginnings feel that spring holds, I'm giving you a 7 Day spring challenge!

  1. Set your body up for success and drink a full 8 oz glass of water when you wake up. Yup, even before you have your coffee, have some water. When we're dehydrated, we can feel low energy. Since the last big glass of water you had was probably the night before, your body is craving some hydration in the morning.

  2. Do 10 push-ups. Strength training is one of the most important things that we can do to keep our bodies and minds healthy. A push-up is one of the most accessible and effective forms of strength training and they are a universal challenge. You can do these at the wall, on your knees or a full push-up. They are all good! Don't worry about the number either. If you can only do a half or 1, start there. Keep doing it and you'll build up. If 10 is a breeze, up the challenge or do more repetitions.

  3. Daily 10. Cleaning up and decluttering can be overwhelming. As with any task that's tough, set a timer for 10 minutes and get moving. After 10 minutes, you're done. You can also sign up for our 30 Day Healthy Home Challenge . Also, if you have small kids at home, this is a great way to motivate them to clean up.

  4. Consume 5 or more servings of different veggies. It's National Nutrition Month so we had to have a nutrition related challenge. Too often, we get stuck in veggie ruts and eat the same ones over and over. Up your veggie game by consuming a wide variety of vegetables! This will help to insure that you're getting a wide range of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

As always, the most important thing is to not give up. If you don't complete it one day, simply try again tomorrow.

I hope your spring holds all that you’re wanting!
